Beginners Curriculum

This is where it all begins! As you embark on a career in permanent cosmetics, the knowledge base that you obtain will be either your greatest asset or your biggest disadvantage in the success that you achieve as a certified permanent cosmetics specialist (SPCS). We have experimented and tried every type of permanent cosmetic machine on the market and always return to our original coil machine. Charting - One of the most time-consuming, tedious and repetitive of chores, unfortunately it is probably your most valuable asset in permanent cosmetics, besides for a good application technique! The medical industry loves a good chart! So with coming from the medical background, designing a charting system was right up our alley! We designed our own unique charting system which is based on the medical charting by exception. It is quick, easy and will cover you legally if the unfortunate should happen.
Consultation - How do you conduct a consult with a potential client? What are the most frequently asked questions and answers? What to the clients want to know? What do I tell them and what don't I have to tell them? How do I finish a consultation and successfully obtain an informed client? This class takes all those worries away. You will do live, supervised consultations one-on-one, and learn all our time tested tricks of the trade!
Consent Form - What do I have a client sign? What are the legal considerations of a consent form? What does it bind me to or from? What do I want a client to be informed of before a permanent cosmetic application? What do I tell them to do when they get home? This class covers all those questions as well as discussing the other forms necessary to be reassured that you have an informed client. These are the patch test, pre and post procedure client forms.

    H. TREATMENT ROOM AND OFFICE SET UP
What exactly am I going to need? How do I set up the area I am going to do permanent cosmetics? This segment discusses everything from the main equipment, to the smallest afterthought of equipment. Supplies you need now to start and those you can wait until a later date to obtain.

    I. HANDS-ON TRAINING WITH LIVE MODELS
Now that you have a great background and knowledge base in permanent cosmetics, it is time to put all you learned to use. Our classes provide live models that you will be doing permanent cosmetic applications of eyeliner, eyebrows, lipliner/full lip color on, in an one-on-one supervised situation. We are beside you during each procedure from start to finish, and celebrate with you when suddenly you exclaim, "I've got it!" Many students also want to have permanent cosmetics applied to themselves (This is not a requirement for class-only an additional option). Most of your clients will want to see the permanent cosmetics in person, and what better advertising do you have than your own face!

    J. MARKETING AND ADVERTISING
You now know how to do permanent cosmetics. How do you promote it? How do people find out about you? What kind of advertising work and what doesn't? What should your business cards and brochures say? Where can you work, or should you work? Naming you business, finding a logo, and the advertising jungle are all discussed in this very informative class. Find out where we made our mistakes and triumphs!

    K. INSURANCE AND LAWS
It is your responsibility before the start of the class to become aware of the city and state requirements, that may be necessary in some states, in order for you to do business as a permanent cosmetic technician. But this class focuses on the global emphasis that permanent cosmetics has had in regards to insurance and laws in the United States and also Internationally. What is the history behind permanent cosmetics and what direction are laws going to at city and state levels? This class also focuses on the different malpractice and insurance options that are available to you once you have become a certified permanent cosmetics specialist (CPCS).

    L. CORRECTIONS
Properly trained and equipped with a proper background in permanent cosmetics, you will not be doing many corrections - but there are some correction techniques that will be helpful in your "perfecting sessions" and with previous permanent cosmetic clients. This is a basic class on corrections with emphasis on ways to change colors and to correct mild imperfections. The advanced class has a very in-depth, thorough corrections class, which covers all forms of corrections.

    M. SUPPLIERS LIST AND PRODUCT INFORMATION
Where do you obtain all you supplies for permanent cosmetics? There are many different companies that produce equipment and supplies used in the permanent cosmetics industry. A number of permanent cosmetic schools have put together their own supply companies. After being taken monetarily advantage of during the early days of our practice, we decided to go to the source of supplies. This class discusses all the supply companies that we do business with, at the same prices that we obtain them. We make you expert "hunters" in the supply "fields" so you can make informed decisions on what to trial, purchase and to avoid.

    N. WHO'S WHO IN THE INDUSTRY
As you have been investigating into permanent cosmetics, you have encountered a number of different names. You have received solicitations from specialists with credentials that are miles long, "experts of the experts", and an assortment of different self-promotion, of which this one is included. Just who is everyone and where did they get their start in permanent cosmetics history?
